You know, as women we tend to be so critical of ourselves and of others. Why do we think that making ourselves smaller and less important somehow makes us better people? How do we not see that it actually makes us BITTER people.
Really though. Take a moment to observe. We can never be truly happy, when all we do is criticize all day.
Sometimes we look for compliments from other people. Our worlds crash when we do not get the so much craves attention and all of our work seems pointless and almost ridiculous.
When all we actually need is our own approval.
Which leads me to the Darlin' way.
Being a Darlin' means being your own best friend.
This is where it all starts.
A Darlin' is born from the desire to feel fabulous no mater what!
She is almost like your alter ego. She is more positive, upbeat and empowering. She does not judge. She is like the best friend who will always tell you something wonderful to make you feel better.
So when you feel:
- tired Darlin' you are fabulous
- like you have gained weight Darlin' you are fabulous
- dumb Darlin' you are fabulously smart
- not your best Darin' you are fabulous
- weak Darlin' you are fabulousy strong
- like a bad mommy Darlin' you are fabulous
- you have a bad hair day Darlin' you are fabulous
- your makeup looks bad Darlin' you are fabulous
- you did not give your best Darlin' you are fabulous
- like you don't get fashion Darlin' you are fabulous
You see the Darlin' way is a constant reminder that there is no such thing as perfect, only fabulous. Little mistakes are allowed and worked through with a positive attitude. The more at ease you feel with yourself, the easier it will be to make improvements.
So here is a short exercise for you. You don't even have to admit you did it, lol.
****When you have a quiet minute to yourself, imagine you are a superstar, an actress, musician, sport star, you name it. Now imagine you are in an interview about how you became this awesome. What aspects of your life make you such a huge success. You will see. It will feel silly at first, but you will have fun discovering your fabulous self. GO!****
xoxo
Disclaimer: The Darlin' Way is not a rule. It does not mean you cant be angry or upset. It simply means that if you do get angry and upset it is okay, because really when you think about it, you are still fabulous.
